What is Required to obtain your FLT Operator Certificate?
Full attendance of the course.
Associated knowledge Theory Test consisting of 25 questions, 5 Open and 20 multi choice, you are allowed 30 minutes to complete this part of the test.
Each Answer is worth 4 points. You require 80% to pass.
Next you will be required to carry out a pre-user inspection on the truck, identifying the various components of the truck that require inspecting.
Then you will have to maneuver a laden fork lift truck through a chicane both in a forward and reverse direction You will also undertake a stacking and de-stacking exercise which will consist of transporting pallets in an aisle & placing them in a racking system at three levels. This part of the test is also timed and you will be required to get no more than 40 penalty points to pass
3 to 5 DAYS NOVICE COURSE
This course is for candidates with no previous experience. This course follows all guidelines approved by independent training standard scheme
1 to 2 DAY CONVERSION COURSE
This course is for currently qualified operators who wish to train on a different type of lifting equipment and may only require training on the different characteristics and controls of this truck
1 DAY REFRESHER
This course is designed for a trained forklift operator, whose certificate is due for renewal.
2 DAYS EXPERIENCED UNTRAINED
In this course you will need to have had extensive practical experience and very little or no formal training.
